So, during this relatively quiet time of the year, I thought I'd revisit air quality over China and how weather fronts can change it from unhealthy (or hazardous) to good (and vice versa) in one day. Here's the OMPS AI over VIIRS RGB images for yesterday and today:


You can see that all of the four cities I labelled were in unhealthy to hazardous conditions yesterday. But a weather front went through that cleaned things out, and conditions are much better today (although the AQI in Harbin is still in the unhealthy range).
